Professional Experience
David Creech has practiced architecture in this region for over thirty years with a focus on developing an, "architecture of place," This refers to design that is harmonious and complementary to the environment in which it is built, thus creating places which people wish to inhabit and work. He has accomplished this through an intense study of historical building types that have sustained themselves through time. The resulting designs are timeless and build upon the successes of the past while incorporating the latest technologies. David has been able to accomplish this in the design of many building types including civic, academic, commercial, and corporate office buildings while understanding the role that each particular building has in shaping the environment in which it is built. Mr. Creech has been an active environmentalist all of his professional career, and his designs reflect that respect by utilizing sustainable building practices. He resides in Charleston and is an accomplished artist, writer and sailor.
